Performance
Performance are a Midlands based band comprising of Simon Leigh (Vocal Guitar) Jason Huxley (vocal guitar) Ben Hodgkins (bass and keys) and Mark Connolly (drums). They have developed a wealth of musical experience playing in and around the UK and Europe now for the past 10 years at such venues as Blenheim palace and The Celtic manor in front of H.R.H Prince Edward.
Simon's passion for music started at an early age when he discovered his love for classical guitar. His warm rich voice is the driving force of Performance and is guaranteed to get any party started. Simon is also a prolific song writer and performs much of his original material on the London music scene.
Jason is a professional session musician with an innate flare and passion for his guitar. He has toured with the likes of "The Christians", "Journey South" and supported such acts as Lemar, Jamelia, Brian McFadden and Ronan Keating. He has had recent success recording on the sound track for the star studded, Hollywood movie "Bobby" in which his version of the Paul Simon track "Anji" is featured.
Ben is an exceptional bass player and classically trained pianist and has been performing within the band for the last eight years. When he is not playing, Ben can be found recording in his studio concentrating on his own music, or sessioning with a string of other artists.
Mark has an exciting playing style which is fundamental to the Performance sound. People are captivated when he plays and can't help but move to his rhythms. Before joining Performance, Mark was in a professional Aerosmith tribute band touring extensively throughout the UK, during that time he played regularly in front of thousands of loyal fans.
The band play everything from modern day pop to legendary 60's and 70's dance classics and all your favourites from every decade in between, with an extensive set of songs you are guaranteed a night of fun and excitement with something for everyone.
